Children’s Garden unveils new play structure  

Residents of Old Ottawa East and passersby on Main Street may have wondered recently, what is that thing at the back of the Children’s Garden?

Lees Community Garden first year a great success  

Lees Community Garden, next to Lees Avenue apartments, had a great year with many accomplishments.

On the first day of summer, under withering heat, many hardy volunteers came out to construct the garden in one day. For the rest of the season, gardeners tended their plots though drought and rain.

Fall Brantwood Park cleanup  

On Oct. 6, volunteers organized the Brantwood Park fall cleanup.

Six people picked up garbage and helped remove and bag burdock seeds which seemed to have increased in the past year.
