What do people have to say about “Regatta Ready”:
Carol Rendell-Watson, resident of Old Ottawa East told CAG: “Our children Emily and Ethan were raised on the water, sea kayaking and canoe tripping from an early age. The RCC camp seemed like a perfect fit for Ethan who was looking for a challenging and fun summer sport. He first participated in Regatta Ready in 2011. During the first few days of the program, he spent most of his time falling out of the high performance sprint canoes and kayaks. I thought for sure he would balk at the suggestion of returning the following summer. Quite the opposite. He asked if we would sign him up for the entire summer and has been a member of RCC’s competitive sprint canoe/kayak program ever since
The RCC camp instructors/coaches have themselves grown up in club programs and are professional and knowledgeable. Most importantly, they are amazing role models for our kids. The camps are fun and challenging. You have the option to get involved in the more competitive sprint canoe/kayak program.
It will be great to see more people of all ages paddling canoes and kayaks and exploring the Rideau River.”
