Residents can now see what Greystone Village is planned look like in the community

By Meredith Newberry

The new sales centre for Greystone Village is open to the public Oct. 3. Greystone Village is a new housing development planned for the current green space formerly owned by the Oblate Fathers and Sisters of Sacred Heart. The approximately 30-acre, river-front property will be developed into a variety of homes including single, townhomes and condo buildings.

The newly-built sales centre at 175A Main Street, holds various rooms for viewing the new village concept including scaled models and kitchens from the townhomes, condos and single homes. The Mainstreeter was invited to a preview evening last week and saw some of the suites, lay-outs and artist’s drawings of the new homes. Residents of Old Ottawa East may be interested in viewing the housing plan to see how everything is laid out, what the access to the river and walking paths are like, and where amenities are being planned.

Multiple screens are set up throughout the sales centre to show visitors the available homes and how they are situated in the plan for Greystone Village. Some residents can find their own homes on the map.
