Book launch

A tennis rivalry. A beautiful girl. A multi-million dollar property. A trophy rumoured to be worth a fortune. Can two teenagers stop an unscrupulous villain from taking over their historic tennis club in the heart of Old Ottawa?

Find out at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, as the Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club (176 Cameron Ave.) hosts the launch of OOE author Kate Jaimet’s new sports-adventure novel Break Point.

Though the story takes place at the fictitious Bytowne Tennis Club, OOE residents would recognize many familiar landmarks: from the idyllic banks of the Rideau River to the jogging path along the Rideau Canal. Aimed at youth aged 10 to 17, Break Point is a fast-paced adventure for readers of all ages.

Enjoy free appetizers, listen to an excerpt from the book, and buy your own signed copy from Kaleidoscope Kids Books.

Store staff will be on hand at the launch.
